For anyone who didn't know, I'm in Boston for a week, visiting the relatives for 4th of July.

I went to the Roger Waters concert Saturday - completely amazing. He still sounded good, and the band was almost as good as when Pink Floyd was still together. He played the entire Dark Side of the Moon album, plus a lot of songs from other albums; there was no intro band so he was basically out there for three hours (with a 15 minute intermission).

Also saw 1776 at the Guthrie. The play was better than I expected; lots of light moments to keep the audience engaged, but still did a good job of covering the topic. It's about the Second Continental Congress, when the decision was made to declare independence, and it really highlights a lot of issues from the time that people may not have known very much about.

There's an interesting little online thing I've gotten into - It's kind of like a webcomic in update schedule, but it's an ongoing story that's written in 2,500 word chunks. It's a story about a girl who goes off to college, but set in a fantasy world with magic, monsters, and such. It's on my friends page, or at mutales.livejournal.com if you want to check it out. It just finished Chapter One (about 20 updates), and is on hiatus until July 9, so now is a good time to check it out.

I get back in town Sunday, and I'm not really doing much other than work until August, so those of you who are around and free should look me up.

So yeah .., not much really going on with me. Work, eat, sleep, repeat ad infinitum. Hopefully this weekend will be more interesting. We have work people doing crazy stuff to our house, the upshot of which is I am mildly inconvenienced every time I want to use my car. Plus, I can't sleep past 9am due to loud banging noises directly outside my window, meaning I'm pretty much continuously in a mildly bad mood. I find myself hoping for rain to drive them off, but if it rains, I don't work, and thus, don't get paid. Not much on the grand scale of things, but since I'm functioning on 2 hours of sleep, you all get to hear about it. Get in touch - If I see people I like, I become happy and you don't have to see rambling, semi-incoherent posts. Because nobody wants to see more of these.

My new computer came today. Words cannot express my joy. Perhaps the hamster can. Also, I solved an annoying problem with our router, thus allowing the rest of my family to have internet access. The only way the day could get better is if Liverpool destroys AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League final (Soccer for those of you who are uninformed). More later about the joys of the computer.
